Full, Beautiful Smiles With Orthodontics
Having a beautiful smile requires the
correct positioning of the mouth muscles,
jaw joints, jawbones, as well as teeth. Not
only does this create a prettier, wider
smile but healthier teeth, gums and a better
bite for normal chewing, swallowing and
breathing.
Based on a patient’s skeletal growth, there
are three potential phases that will allow
for a full, beautiful smile. These phases
are: EARLY—ages 3 to 10 years and involving
habit and environmental correction;
TEENAGER—11 to 18 years involving bone
movement; ADULT—beyond 18 years of age.
